EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER 1

Blueprint

“…it took devotion and willpower to fight for my marriage, and to fight to do what was right in God’s eyes. In order to do that, I had to draw closer to Him. I had to first understand God’s design for marriage. I had to put aside my dreams and societal beliefs of what marriage is and what it is not. I also had to put aside societal theories of why marriages fail or why some marriages were not meant to be. I had to look at what God said marriage is supposed to be. Then I had to accept that my marriage was not reflecting God’s design, and decide that I needed to do everything in my power to change that.”

As the Scriptures say, “ A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.
